You’ll lead:

  • Tourism, hospitality or destination marketing experience

Event Manager

Due Drop Events Centre | Manukau, Auckland

Due Drop Events Centre is searching for an experienced, hands-on Event Manager to help lead one of South Auckland’s most important and diverse venues.

This is a role for someone who thrives in fast-moving event environments and enjoys balancing operational delivery with strong commercial thinking. From conferences and corporate functions to concerts, community events and ticketed experiences, no two weeks will look the same.

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you’ll lead the Events team while remaining closely involved in the day-to-day planning and execution of events across the venue.

Due Drop Events Centre and Trillian Wero Whitewater Park are key commercial assets of the Waka Pacific Trust, helping generate sustainable outcomes that support South Auckland communities and youth initiatives.

In this role you will:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of a diverse portfolio of events across corporate, private, public and community sectors
  • Drive strong operational standards across planning, ticketing, client communication and live event delivery
  • Work closely with catering, AV and operational partners to ensure seamless execution
  • Support venue utilisation and revenue outcomes through strong commercial judgement and client management
  • Attend industry functions, client events and promotional activity to help grow venue presence and relationships
  • Maintain on-site visibility during live events, ensuring high service standards and client satisfaction
  • Manage and mentor the Events coordination team

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Brings solid Event Management experience within venues or large-scale events
  • Understands the balance between operational excellence and commercial outcomes
  • Is calm under pressure, highly organised, and comfortable managing multiple moving parts
  • Can build strong stakeholder relationships across clients, suppliers, partners and internal teams
  • Has experience with ticketed events, event systems, quoting and client communication
